Our story

About DBIA Southeast Region

DBIA Southeast Region was chartered in 1998 to serve design-build professionals in Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. The Georgia Chapter was the original chapter in the region and in 2014, the Carolinas Chapter was formed.

We connect the people who plan, design, and build projects to strengthen collaboration, elevate best practices, and advance successful project delivery across the Southeast.

About DBIA National

The Design-Build Institute of America is the only organization that defines, teaches and promotes best practices in design-build. Design-build is an integrated approach that delivers design and construction services under one contract with a single point of responsibility. Owners select design-build to achieve best value while meeting schedule, cost and quality goals.

About Design-Build

The design-build method of project delivery embraces architecture, engineering and construction services under a single contract, thereby re-integrating the roles of designer and constructor. In addition to public- and private-sector project owners, DBIA members include practitioners from all project phases.
